I completely forgot to announce to you all this last Tuesday night at Voltage that Summit Church as a whole, including Voltage is going to participate in a 21 day fast starting this Monday! I highly encourage you all to participate! As Stovall Weems said in his new book, Awakening, “This will be your best year ever if it is your best year spiritually.”
I myself have never been excited about fasting because knew it meant not eating food and I love food. Fasting has always been a hard thing for me to do, but as I have started to look at it differently recently in reading the book, Awakening, I am really excited to start this fast and really grow spiritually and closer to God.
I want to encourage you, all of Voltage, to participate in this fast. If you don’t know much about fasting check out the resources at this website. It is an easy guide to learning about fasting and has a devotional as well as a different item to fast for each day! Check it out!!!
